Great team win tonight as both teams battled back and forth throughout the game. Katy came back from a slow start being down by 10 in the first quarter to take the lead at half 42-40. Allana Thompson led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Savannah May added 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kassidy Weaver added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Jenna Caskey, Sasha Fernandez, and Amari Joulevette provided great minutes at the guard spots and Joy Jegede played well in the post.
Katy will face Houston Heights in the second round later this week. Time, place, and date are TBD.
